Tooth Extractions & Wisdom Tooth Removal
While it's always preferable to save a natural tooth, there are times when it's not possible. If a tooth is too badly damaged as a result of decay, gum disease or injury, it may need to be removed. A sinus lift is a type of bone graft performed by your dentist to add bone material to the upper back jaw in order to raise and increase the amount of bone in the sinus area. A sinus lift may be necessary to make the area strong enough to support a dental implant.
