Dental Technologies at Our Dental Clinic
Over the years, dental science has advanced, introducing technologies that have helped dental professionals provide care that is more efficient and comfortable than ever before.
At Rouge Valley Dental Care, we are equipped with a range of technology that helps to inform treatment planning and make your dental appointments run smoothly.
Treatment room monitors allow us to display X-rays and scans and provide you with detailed information about any issues we detect and how those issues can be treated.
Our goal is to provide you and your family with the vital dental care you need while making sure you are fully informed about your oral health. Dental technology helps us do that.
iTero® 3D Scanner
The iTero intraoral scanner uses a handheld imaging device to create detailed 3D impressions of your teeth and bite. It allows us to plan your dental treatment in real-time, store data digitally, and create custom-made Invisalign aligners to fit your unique smile.
Digital X-Rays
Digital X-rays use digital sensors instead of traditional photographic X-ray film. They produce computer images of the teeth, gums and other oral structures, allowing your dentist to examine parts of your mouth that are not visible to the naked eye.
Panoramic X-Rays
Panoramic X-rays allow your dentist to create a single image of your entire mouth. This image is a flat representation of the teeth, upper and lower jaws, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), and nasal and sinus structures. Panoramic X-rays are helpful when planning for treatment that involves dentures, braces, extractions and implants.
Oral Cancer Screening Device
The VELscope® is an oral cancer screening device that helps the dentist identify abnormalities and diseases in the mouth, such as cancerous and pre-cancerous lesions. Using fluorescence visualization technology, it takes as little as two minutes and can be performed in your dentist’s office during routine exams.
